En un nuevo capÃtulo de la larga historia de la regulación y legislación del poker online en los distintos paÃses de la Unión Europea, ésta acaba de rechazar la propuesta de Bélgica debido a considerar la propuesta del paÃs centroeuropeo más una nacionalización que una regulación en sÃ.
Según la European Betting and Gaming Association (EGBA) la Comisión Europea actuó correctamente al prohibir esta ley ya que el plan belga, enviado el dÃa 27 de marzo intentaba instaurar leyes que restringÃan los mercados de juego y apuestas online a operadores residentes en Bélgica (vamos, la historia de siempre), y esto es una violación de tratado de la Unión Europea que permite todo tipo de operaciones entre empresas residentes en todas sus naciones.
Ahora tendrá Bélgica de plazo hasta el 30 de julio para modificar su plan de regulación y hacerlo un plan de regulación real y no de monopolización.
Al menos es un alivio ver que la Unión Europea ayuda en estos términos, de hecho una situación parecida se dio hace no demasiado tiempo con el gobierno francés, con igual suerte para su intento.
Sea como fuere aún parece quedar mucho tiempo para que lleguemos a una regulación real del juego en toda la unión.
